Custom Cars and New Threads in Mafia III

A new update brings more than breaking legs to Mafia III, such as customizing cars and competing in races.

Players can enter a series of races through the streets of New Bordeaux, six circuit lap races and six point-to-point races, to unlock customizations and a new car with the new free title update. Customize the cars in Lincoln’s fleet with a variety of decals, exhausts, spoilers, superchargers, and wheels.

2K and Hangar 13 have also included new outfits and a custom revolver are also available for Lincoln to use in Mafia III.

Up to 10 cars can be customized by visiting the nine Big Rick’s Garage locations around New Bordeaux. From there, players can start selecting decals, exhausts, spoilers, superchargers and wheels. The patch promises over 50 unique customizations.

2K and Hangar 13 have said the inspiration for the driving in Mafia III were the classic car chase films of the late 1960s and early 1970s. There are 12 races throughout New Bordeaux, six circuit lap races and six point-to-point races. The races become available after the first sit-down with all three lieutenants.

Whenever gamers are cruising around the open world and not running away from the law, they can look for the race markers on the map where it’s all about pink slips.

Cars aren’t the only ones getting a new look with this update, three more outfits for Lincoln to rock as he makes his way through New Bordeaux have also been added. Two of the new looks available are “Bad, Bad Mr. Burke” and “On the Prowl.”

If this isn’t enough, the Hangar 13 team is working on additional free updates as well as three paid story expansions.
